I was in my early twenties, slaving away at an arts degree from a prestigious university with no firm career prospects on the horizon. With a despairingly empty bank account and rent looming, I decided one day that it was time to bite the bullet and find a job. Most people would have looked in the obvious places – bars, coffee shops, internships…
